Lunar Marathon - On The Moon again 2021 @ Wydarzenie online

First online lunar marathon – the Moon will not set for 24 hours! As part of the international operation and French initiative On the Moon Again, the first lunar marathon will allow everyone to discover and observe the Moon for 24 hours during a free online event in English open to all. A world first! Discover the programme on To allow the largest number of people to celebrate the Moon in the current global health context, the French Astronomical Society in partnership with the CNRS, Unistellar, the European Space Agency and the BDE of the Paris Observatory are organizing the first lunar marathon, an event offering 24 hours of live conferences from scientists and observations using connected telescopes. From July 17th, 10:00 am UT to July 18th 10:00 am UT, the Moon will not set for 24 hours and will deliver all its secrets: its formation, its geological history, past and future space missions. Students and French researchers will take turns at the headquarters of the French Astronomical Society to run this marathon in English, available online on the YouTube channel of On the Moon Again.
